This service is designed to get library materials into the hands of people who are not able to visit the library in person due to one or more of the following circumstances:

  • prolonged or chronic illness
  • temporary or permanent physical or mental disability
  • advanced age

Eligibility

To be eligible for this service, a patron must meet at least one of the conditions above and must also live in the city of Perrysburg.

A homebound patron must provide a safe and appropriate environment for staff and volunteers making deliveries.

Staff and volunteers making deliveries should not be asked into homes.

Staff and volunteers have the right to refuse delivery if they feel unsafe or uncomfortable.

Fines and Fees

Way Library is a fine-free library. No fines or fees are charged for overdue items. However, if an item is lost, or if damage has occurred, a patron's account may be charged.

Materials Available for Homebound Delivery Service

All materials circulated through the library, except Beyond Books items, are available for delivery. This includes print materials, books on CD, Playaway devices, music CDs, DVDs, and magazines.

There is a 10-item limit placed on DVDs; no more than 10 DVDs may be in a homebound patron's possession at one time.

Only items owned by Way Public Library are eligible for homebound delivery service.
