The Way Gallery, located on the lower level of Way Library, is an easily accessible public venue that is open during regular library hours. Way Library presents exhibits and displays of paintings, photography, sculpture, and other art works throughout the year with the purpose of providing educational and cultural enrichment.
The gallery is curated by a volunteer group of accomplished artists: Amy Fell, Sharon Johnson; and Way Library liaison, Alyssa Bullock.

Toledo Area Weavers Guild Fiber Art Show
October 1 - October 28, 2024
Local fiber artists who are members of the Toledo Area Weavers Guild are exhibiting their functional and fiber art pieces in this invitational show. The exhibit includes finished work, ten pieces of the “Threadware: Pottery-Fiber”, past creative challenges, guild history and fiber equipment.
Area artists are showing a variety of fiber art pieces which reflect many techniques including handweaving, felting, eco dyeing, resist dyeing, knitting, crochet, surface design and textile construction. Some illustrate traditional techniques and others focus on non-traditional methods.
Functional objects include scarves, wearables, purses, table runners, hand towels, rugs, bookmarks, and coiled baskets. Fiber art pieces include eco printing, felting, and weaving with unusual materials, such as painted reed and found objects. The materials used in the exhibit include cotton, silk, linen, wool, bamboo, Tencel, and handspun fibers.
Artists on display are Wayne Anthony, Susan Cayton, Susan Dignam, Chris East, Lou Ann Glover, Betty Holland, Holly Monsos, Sheila Roberts, Angelia Slifer, Pat Smyth, Art Westrick, and Laurie Zollinger.

The 577 Foundation is delighted to present a vibrant display of artwork created by our dedicated staff and talented community instructors at the Way Public Library. This exhibit, featuring a diverse array of pieces from our fiber arts, pottery, garden art, and studio art classes, showcases the unique skills and creativity fostered within our programs.
On display in the downstairs gallery during normal library business hours throughout November and December, visitors are invited to explore this dynamic collection, with additional artworks by local artists available for viewing at 577 in the Welcome Center and Curiosity Shop.
